Please join NYC AAZK for dinner at Sunny Chinese to raise awareness for salamander conservation! Come right after work so we don't loose our reservation!

Please RSVP by "attending" this event on Facebook, and writing on the wall with the number of people in your party as SPACE IS LIMITED, or email cmaur@wcs.org. We will only be admitting RSVP'd guests the night of the event. All WCS staff, volunteers, interns and friends are welcome to attend!

*If we have more than the reserved number of seats requested, we will add a second night for this event - so don't worry!*

Order anything off of the menu and enjoy the complimentary wine. Reusable chopsticks will be available for purchase, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Chopsticks for Salamanders' research and conservation efforts.

From the CFS website:
"The deforestation for the production of chopsticks is an international problem that sounds a major alarm for already declining amphibian populations. “Reuse Chopsticks, Save Salamanders” is a conservation initiative developing between several partnered chapters of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) to connect the sustainable practice of utilizing reusable chopsticks with forest stewardship. This will be accomplished through the sale of branded reusable chopsticks and the distribution of informational cards. Caudates are most diverse in the Appalachian region of the United States and are the perfect flagship species for this initiative. All proceeds raised will be available for salamander education, conservation and research."
We hope to see you there!
