Keeper Recognition Awards
Calling all Bronx Zoo animal care staff and volunteers, now is the opportunity you have all been waiting for!!!! Have you ever wanted to give somebody a proverbial pat on the back for going above and beyond at our job? Has someone at work impressed you with their relentless positive attitude, their cleaning prowess, their inspirational training, their imaginative enrichment? Has a fellow co-worker found a way to make the day better for you or better for our animals? If so, that person deserves that pat on the back! Nay, they deserve more than that. They deserve a keeper recognition award! BZAC is calling on all animal care staff and animal care volunteers to nominate their coworkers for the Keeper Recognition Awards. If someone you know is deserving of this award, please fill out the submission form including you name (if you want to), the name of your coworker you would like to nominate, their department and a brief description of why you are nominating this person. All keepers nominated will be recognized so please recognize a coworker today! All animal care staff and volunteers that are nominated will be recognized during National Zookeeper Week (July 17-23). The deadline for submissions is June 20th. Please send all submissions to Cindy Maur, either through inter-office mail or through email at cmaur@wcs.org.

Bronx Zoo Tails
We like big butts and we can not lie…well not necessarily big, but beautiful, cute, weird, you name it! Calling all photographers; the Bronx Zoo AAZK Chapter is now taking photograph submissions for an animal butts calendar. Please submit any and all photos of Bronx Zoo animal rears. We know you have them, and now we want them. Put those photos to good use and submit them to the BZAAZK!
Stipulations:
-Must be a Bronx Zoo animal butt
-Not all Photos are guaranteed to make the calendar
-Due by June 20th

Artwork Display/ Silent Auction
We know you have talent! Show it off!!! If you are a photographer, an artist, painter, illustrator, a sculptor, a knitter, a person with some other artistic talent that we can't even think of, please send us a piece of your artwork! For National Zookeeper Week (July 17-23) we are looking to brag about how talented our Bronx Zookeepers are. We would like to put a collection of work on display for the week and we would also like to be able to hold a silent auction for pieces you wish to donate. Please consider either lending us your artwork or please consider donating it to BZAC for our silent auction. All proceeds will go to the chapter. Please help us showcase our talents outside of being excellent animal caretakers. Lend or donate your artwork today! Submit all entries to Lauren Augustine at the Reptile House by June 20th.
